Thai actor Win Metawin has come a long way since he first hit the screens in 2020 with 2gether: The Series. The star has consolidated himself as one of Asia’s most influential figures in entertainment but he has also led a new generation of Thai celebrities successfully breaking into the fashion scene

With an enviable resumé that includes brand ambassadorships, fashion event appearances and a slew of remarkable looks, Win has rightfully earned the title of tastemaker, adroit fashionista and trailblazing force in fashion — at EnVi, for example, he was voted as one of the Fashion Power Players of 2023 by a panel of industry insiders.

While there’s much to say about the actor’s fashion exploits, Fashion Week is perhaps the arena where he has best exhibited his influence. To celebrate his growing impact in the industry, EnVi recaps 5 times the Thai actor dominated the front rows.

Milan Fashion Week Debut with Prada

Win Metawin made his first Fashion Week appearance at Prada’s Spring Summer 2023 show. The star stunned in a look that embodied Prada’s contemporary affinities — a bulking yellow trench coat, black trousers, and a Prada Triangle Bag. His highly anticipated attendance generated great buzz online, making him the breakthrough star at Milan Fashion Week.

As per Launchmetrics’ data, the actor generated $4,7 million in Media Impact Value, becoming the top celebrity voice of the Milan calendar. Win also authored the top social media post that week, accruing $1,3 million in MIV with a single Instagram post.

His Fashion Week debut followed a few social media stints with luxury brands that not only launched him to fashion stardom but also attracted considerable attention to Thailand’s entertainment scene. As Launchmetrics’ Chief Marketing Officer Alison Bringé told EnVi that season, Win steadily became a “familiar face at Mens’ Fashion [Week],” opening up broader opportunities to collaborate with brands across Asia. “Thanks to his wide popularity not only in Thailand but also within South-East Asia, brands wanting to build exposure can leverage Win’s Voice to reach the wider APAC region,” Bringé said.

Prada’s Brand Ambassador

Fresh off his appointment as Prada’s brand ambassador at the beginning of 2023, Win set the internet ablaze when he traveled to Italy for the brand’s Fall Winter 2023 show. For the occasion, the actor opted for a look taken straight from Prada’s previous collection, which featured a check-pattern jacket, a leather coat and a classic Symbole bag.

Keeping up with the success of his previous Fashion Week attendance, Win ranked among the top celebrity voices in terms of Media Impact Value.  After the event, Launchmetrics reported, “Thailand ranked the second in the country split, due to the attendance of Prada’s beloved Win Metawin, whose Voice alone earned the brand $3.8M MIV®.”

Front Row Fixture

By the next fashion cycle, Win had already become a fixture at Prada’s front row and other high-caliber fashion events around the world. Win traveled to Milan to be present at Prada’s Spring Summer 2024 Womenswear collection unveiling. The actor sported a light-colored coat with a floating sailor collar from Prada’s FW23 collection, paired with black slacks and lace-up shoes. Win later stepped out for the after-party, dressed in an edgy leather jacket, tailored pants, and a tank top.

Win once again made waves on the internet, racking up impressive Media Impact Value figures. As Launchmetrics shared with EnVi, the actor was one of the top MIV-generating faces at Prada’s star-studded show. “Thai superstar Win Metawin O. was in attendance and amassed $2.9M in MIV,” they said.

Mastering Fashion Week Style

Earlier this year, Win continued his streak of Fashion Week appearances, attending Prada’s Fall Winter 2024 menswear showcase. As usual, the actor mobilized large crowds to Fondazione Prada, where Prada’s runways generally take place.

As one of the most awaited front row guests at Milan Fashion Week, the heartthrob — who has also been indexed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 – Asia List — looked bedazzling in a total black fit. Serving a lesson on winter-appropriate style, the actor proved that he has already mastered what it takes to sit front row at fashion events and effortlessly turn all eyes on him.

Conquering New Territories

Win might have made a name for himself as a Milan Fashion Week regular, but that doesn’t mean he can’t expand his influence to other fashion capitals. On February 9, the actor hit yet another milestone when he was spotted at Grand Central for Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall Winter 2024 show

Offering style lessons on monochrome dressing, the Asian icon proved that there’s still plenty of room for him to experiment with fashion and create new fashion associations.

Chic, versatile and always updated with the latest trends — without sacrificing his personal style and fashion affinities — Win Metawin is undoubtedly one of the stars from the Asia Pacific region worth watching closely and taking style notes from. It helps, of course, that he has built an impressive resumé on the front rows of Fashion Weeks across the world.
