Summer is the time to take it easy, even if we’re approaching the end of it. Whether it be hanging out with friends, going to the beach, or just chilling at home, EnVi readers deserve to unwind! There’s nothing better to accompany your downtime than a feel-good playlist. From soloists Hoàng Yến Chibi and EVY to boyband UNI5, EnVi has you covered with Vietnamese songs fit for any mood.

“Cyber Crush” – Lục Huy

Former member of UNI5, Lục Huy had his solo debut on January 12, 2023. Although released in the winter, “Cyber Crush” is the perfect summer track. Picture yourself driving next to the beach with your windows down, a cool breeze in your face. Now, put “Cyber Crush” on, turn the volume up, and allow Lục Huy to serenade you with “You are my cyber crush oh oh oh oh.” Bonus points if that line doesn’t get stuck in your head!

“TẾT COOL NÀO, SAO PHẢI NÓNG [Stay Cool]” – MONO

Following in the footsteps of older brother Sơn Tùng M-TP, MONO is making a name for himself in the Vietnamese music world. Only four months after his debut with “Quên Anh Đi,” MONO teamed up with Sprite for “Stay Cool,” a song made for the summertime. While the music video features Sprite and its signature yellow and green colors, the dance version is much more laidback. With zestful beats and a falsetto, “Sprite” sung throughout, you’re guaranteed to “Stay Cool” this summer.

“Gơn Phố” – EVY

There’s a certain je ne sais quoi that a listener looks for in a summer song and “Gơn Phố” has it. Released on June 22, the song lures you in with the first strum of the guitar. Followed closely by dreamy beats, you feel hypnotized. “Gơn Phố” is the perfect track for people who want to dance this summer. EVY shows an unwavering confidence in her lyrics like “gọi em là life of the party” or “call me the life of the party.” If you’re looking for a song that will make you feel cooler, literally and figuratively, “Gơn Phố” is for you!

“Đừng Dắt Em Đi Lòng Vòng” – Cầm

“Đừng Dắt Em Đi Lòng Vòng” has only been out for a couple weeks but feels timeless. Cầm’s calming vocals, paired with an 80s beat, make the song nostalgic yet fresh. Cầm, who attends the Saint Louis College of Music, has a unique vocal color that is shown throughout her repertoire. She effortlessly hits notes but it’s her lower register that captures you. You need this track on your summer playlist for its versatility as you could have it on repeat while relaxing at home, on the beach, or on a chill walk. With a sound reminiscent of UTFO’s “Fairytale Lover,” “Đừng Dắt Em Đi Lòng Vòng” is a playlist necessity!

“CÀ PHÊ” – MIN

MIN, a 34-year-old soloist, has been active in the music industry for over 10 years and “CÀ PHÊ” is just one of her many hits. Garnering over 23 million views on the music video since it dropped March 2022, MIN knows how to reel fans in. This idyllic pop anthem is paired with a video that perfectly accompanies it. The song itself is about feelings that people may have for each other but neither party has the courage to take the next step. It boasts a bubbly sound that will get stuck in your head after one play. Add “CÀ PHÊ” to your summer playlist and it might be the only song you listen to for the next few months!

“No Boyfriend” – Hoàng Yến Chibi

If a song released five years ago is on this list, it’s a must add! The Hanoi, Vietnam native, Hoàng Yến Chibi released “No Boyfriend” at just 22 years old. With the unforgettable line “No boyfriend leave me alone,”, and the punchy beat, it’s a song you’ll hit repeat on. Whether you’re going through a break-up, thinking of past relationships, or just in your feelings, “No Boyfriend” is for you. The contrast between the sad lyrics and the rhythmic melody is noteworthy as you’ll be dancing to it, forgetting it’s not the happiest of tracks. Happiness aside, “No Boyfriend” is a throwback that deserves to be on your playlist heading into August.

“Nói Dối Cả Thế Giới Vì Em” – UNI5

Boy group fans are in for a treat with “Nói Dối Cả Thế Giới Vì Em!” Upon first listen, you’ll be transported to a futuristic universe where everyone is a professional dancer. Originally a duo, UNI5 debuted in 2016 with C’mon, an EDM track with bouncy beats. A few years later the group, now a quintet, gave fans the powerful “Nói Dối Cả Thế Giới Vì Em,” which shows off their impressive vocals. The last minute of the song is undoubtedly the fan-favorite as it’s the most replayed part of the music video. If you’re a fan of big productions and dominant voices, you’ll love “Nói Dối Cả Thế Giới Vì Em.”
