Latin-pop superstar Becky G has been a mainstay at fashion weeks around the globe for the past few years, consistently seen at front rows and on best-dressed lists

Earlier this year, the multiplatinum Mexican American singer made her runway debut with designer Willy Chavarria, marking an increasing presence in the fashion industry. This season, Becky G continued her upward trajectory with two major moments: on the runway with Willy Chavarria once again, and front row with AMIRI.

ON THE RUNWAY…

After her debut with Chavarria’s AW25 collection earlier this year, Becky G made her second runway appearance on his SS26 show. Chavarria and Becky G share a lot in common, both hailing from California, and both champions of their shared Mexican American heritage

Willy Chavarria’s collection this season was “HURON” — an homage to his hometown in the San Joaquin Valley. A collection focused on rebellion, it featured bold colors, tailored craftsmanship, and untraditional silhouettes.

Becky G’s look was a grey two-piece set accompanied by a sharp, wide-brimmed hat adorned with silken roses. A powerful zoot-suit inspired shape, the look harkens back to the Pachuco subculture, a style embraced by 1930s Mexican American women in defiance of traditional gender norms and beauty standards.

Reflecting on her appearance, Becky G describes it as a “pride & joy to be a part of this beautiful show” on her Instagram. “There are no words to express my gratitude & admiration for you. You giving your 🌹’s to those who came before you and those who don’t have a voice reminds me of why we do what we do,” she shared.

…AND IN THE FRONT ROW

Becky G’s Paris fashion week journey doesn’t end with her runway show. She also turned heads at AMIRI’s SS26 show, sitting front row in a pastel blue matching set. Pairing trousers and an oversized suit jacket with a sheer lacy tank, the look balanced the masculine and feminine.

The silken fabric and open jacket took the look from the boardroom to the Riviera, reflecting AMIRI’s holiday-ready “Château AMIRI” themed collection.

AMIRI founder Mike Amiri is of Iranian American heritage, and like Becky G, he also hails from California. Their common Los Angeleno spirit is clear in both the collection and in Becky’s styling, infusing summer looks with the Old Hollywood style of 1940s Château Marmont. Smoking jackets, jacquard, embroidery, and jewel tones wrapped up vintage Hollywood glamour with the modern coolness of LA.

A Global Style Icon

With her past appearances generating a healthy amount of buzz, and Media Impact Value for the brands she works with, Becky G’s influence at Fashion Week only grows season after season. Her previous appearances at New York, Milan, and Paris have established Becky G as an ubiquitous presence in the fashion world, but her relationship with Willy Chavarria and appearances on the runway lifts her from just guest to involved and influential style icon.
