It’s Burberry’s world and we’re just living in it. From Vine Jacquard Velvet to dramatic proportions, Burberry brought poetic honesty and precision tailoring to the 2025 Met Gala. Merged with Law Roach’s boundary pushing approach to styling, this year’s meticulously curated Burberry table guest list confirmed that the Met Gala was more than just a red carpet moment. It was the celebration of a culture-defining movement – one that continues to shape and cement its place in fashion history. Fine and Dandy indeed.
86 The Signature Wig: Law Roach’s Blonde Moment
Revealed as Burberry’s creative partner for the Met Gala this year, Law Roach is not unknown to the Met red carpet. From styling the likes of Zendaya to Celine Dion and Anya Taylor Joy, Law Roach’s appearance at the 2025 Met Gala reminded us why he’s the king of creative direction and styling. Opting for a classic look, Law Roach sported a custom Vine Jacquard tailcoat, tuxedo trousers with side stripes, white shirt, and a black satin silk cummerbund. But rather than stunning the carpet in his signature bussdown wig, Law Roach turned heads in a short, regal blonde do. His ensemble look, adorned with a dragonfly brooch rich in symbolism, was a reminder of himself as well as his people being celebrated, making it all the worthwhile for his efforts in the fashion industry. Nuanced with intention and personal touch, this year’s theme was tailored to Law Roach.
Cardi B Stuns In Edwardian Emerald Green
When it comes to tailoring, Burberry does it like no other. Styled by Kollin Carter, rapper Cardi B stunned in custom Burberry suiting that paid homage to Edwardian tailoring whilst retaining her signature feminine flair. Calling back to the black dandyism of the 1970s and reimagined in a modern lens, a floor-length, open-back, and moat green floral damask coat created a trailing moment. Flawlessly structured in the classic Burberry silhouette, a plunging silk devoré shirt revealed in ruffled collar-and-cuff detailing. Cinched by a satin-silk cummerbund, Cardi B’s look finished with beaded fringing on her velvet jacquard tailored trousers. Superfine and subversive.
Dragon Red For Liu Wen
With beautiful nods to Saville Row, Liu Wen’s ensemble featured a one-of-a-kind vine jacquard velvet suit in fierce dragon red. Paired with Cameo fringe pumps, this look shined in all of its understated simplicity.

Jodie Turner-Smith Turns Heads In Stamped Leather Gorgeousness
Tailored to perfection, British model and actress Jodie Turner-Smith sported a custom-made ornate-embossed bustle coat, sunflower jacquard corset, and shirt. Styled by Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald of W+M, this ensemble beautifully blends the heritage, craftsmanship, and culture that Superfine: Tailoring Black Style embodies. Accentuated by a corset cinched detailing to tie-in the entire look, the showstopper hat crafted by Eenshel was the cherry on top. Proving the aloof, yet ostentatious energy of the modern Dandy. Refined, understated, and daring too.
Baby Grand Piano Theatrics For André 3000
Rapper and singer-songwriter André 3000 made a statement in a cutting edge bespoke boilersuit with umbrella embroidery. Combined with his charisma and a graceful stance, a twisted bolero and a striped rugby top brought the look seamlessly together. Oh wait, that’s not all. Leave it to the baby grand piano he carried on his back to create all the theatrics. Embodying the modern-day black dandy, this collaborative project between Burberry and André 3000’s label, Benjamin Bixby (founded in 2008), was most fitting for the reveal of his new EP 7 piano sketches, where, notably, his album cover art perfectly mirrors his Met Gala look. It’s all in the details.

Classy, Sleek, and Superfine For Jalen and Byronna Hurts
Turning heads in bespoke Burberry, dynamic duo Jalen Hurts and Bryonna Hurts graced the Met carpet with nothing but class, style, and elegance. The NFL superstar, 2025 Super Bowl Champion and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback sported a traditional velvet double-breasted suit with floral embroidery. Paired with a white shirt and silk black tie, his look served utmost timeless sophistication. Bryonna, meanwhile, stunned in a romantic, yet dramatic burgundy bead-embellished floral lace dress, featuring intricate fringe detailing and a striking slit that added just the right touch of drama to her classic ensemble.
Angela Bassett: Regal In Royal Blue
Leave it to Academy Award-winning Angela Bassett to deliver an exceptionally fine, elevated, and bold look. No stranger to the red carpet, her royal blue ensemble, styled by Jennifer Austin, offered chic regality with a velvet vine jacquard tuxedo moment. From a sheer mesh shirt combined with a waistcoat to the intricate, iconic Burberry blue cape that revealed it, this look served a dramatic yet understated twist on traditional tailoring. Inspired by the Le Sape Tribe of The Congo, Angela Bassett topped off the look with a Jon Narcisso Millinery hat that added subtle sculptural sophistication. Daniel Lee’s Burberry, Law Roach’s creative guidance, and a Jon Narcisso Millinery hat? A true match made in heaven.

Suited And Booted For Roberto Bole
Offering a part romantic, part architectural look, Italian ballet dancer Roberto Bole let his structured, double-breasted suit, paired with the geometric-jacquard shirt and Burberry intarsia ledger boots, do all the talking.
Steeped in authenticity and intention, Burberry undeniably continues to celebrate connection through its rich storytelling. Rooted in the thoughtful and detailed nature of dandyism, this year’s Met Gala was no doubt a Burberry showcase in disguise.
