Are You Sure? S2 – December 3
Looking to escape the cold, even if it’s just for a while? This first pick is the perfect destination! Following their military discharge on June 11, 2025, BTS members Jimin and Jungkook return for season two of their travel variety show Are You Sure? (이게 맞아?!). In the series’s first season, which they filmed before their enlistment, the duo traveled to several destinations, including New York, Sapporo, and Jeju Island.
With new upgrades taking effect, the second season boasts an even more exciting viewing experience for fans who have waited patiently for the return of Jikook (their ship name). Contrasting with the relatively chill atmosphere from before, a more chaotic energy is created with the addition of new challenges and penalties that determine everything from their allowance to their sleep schedule.
So, what are the newest travel spots this season? Just four days after they completed their mandatory service, Jungkook and Jimin were whisked away to their first stop in Switzerland. After spending a few days enjoying an array of delicacies and exploring the terrain, they are set to continue their trip in Vietnam. The eight-episode travel show is available on Disney+ starting on December 3, with two episodes airing weekly.
The Believers S2: December 4
Remember that every action has a consequence. First airing in March 2024, the Thai crime drama series The Believers follows three friends, Win (Teeradon Supapunpinyo), Game (Pachara Chirathivat), and Dear (Achiraya Nitibhon), who find themselves in crippling debt after a failed startup attempt. When looking for a quick and surefire way to make cash, the trio comes up with the idea of exploiting religious followers, due to their tendency to faithfully pour money into their chosen establishment. Upon acquiring a rundown Buddhist temple, the team’s newest venture begins, but not without a few hitches along the way.
Throughout the first season of the series, every character faced their fair share of internal and external conflicts, ranging from questioning their personal faith and morals to dealing with even more unprincipled people than themselves. Things only become more tense in season two as Win, Game, and Dear remain in the clutches of Ae (Donut-Manatsanun Panlerdwongsakul), a corrupt politician who uses the trio as a vessel for her schemes.
With their operation from last season taken down by the police, the trio is pressured to create a new and improved scam that will allow for Ae to build a hospital — which will become the perfect front for her illegal activities. Will our protagonists survive the depths of corruption, or will them and the ones they love meet a fatal end?
JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution: December 5
Are you ready to see one of the most action-packed and twisted anime arcs come to life on the big screen? Well, now is your chance. Almost two years after the conclusion of its second season in 2023, the dark fantasy series JUJUTSU KAISEN is coming to North American theaters on December 5 as a compilation-style film titled JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution. Based on the popular manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the television series JUJUTSU KAISEN follows the misadventures of high school student Yuji Itadori after he accidentally becomes the host for a powerful ancient Jujutsu sorcerer known as the King of Curses.
Just ahead of its season three release in January 2026, JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution is set to recap the tragic events of the “Shibuya Incident,” and give a special sneak-peek into a new arc dubbed “The Culling Game.” This upcoming storyline features a callback to the prequel movie JUJUTSU KAISEN: 0, which centered Yuta Okkotsu, a once despondent boy who navigates grief and emerges as a special-grade Jujutsu sorcerer. In the upcoming Culling Game arc, Yuta reenters the narrative with one primary goal: to execute Yuji Itadori — or, at least, that’s what he wants his higher-ups to think.
Call Me Dad: December 5
Are you ready for a chaotic family moment? Look no further than the Indonesian dramedy Call Me Dad (Original title: Panggil Aku Ayah), available on Netflix. Based on the 2020 South Korean film Pawn by Yoon Je-kyoon, the remake, directed by Benni Setiawan, centers on two loan sharks who find themselves in possession of an unconventional piece of collateral.
A collaboration between the South Korean entertainment company CJ ENM and Visinema Pictures, the reinvented story opens with Dedi (Ringgo Agus Rahman) and Tatang (Boris Bokir) seeking payment from a single mother named Rossa (Sita Nursanti) in the wake of her husband’s absence. When it’s clear she has no money to offer, the duo makes the rash decision to hold her young daughter Intan (Myesha Lin) hostage until her mother’s debts are fully paid. At first, the two men have a hard time connecting with Intan — understandably — but as they learn more about her life background, their hearts begin to soften, and genuine feelings of affection arise.
Surely Tomorrow: December 6
Nearly seven years after the airing of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Park Seo-jun marks his return to the rom-com genre with the new Prime Video series Surely Tomorrow. Starring alongside Won Ji-an (HeartBeat, Squid Game S2-3), Park finds himself reuniting with a severed connection through less-than-favorable circumstances.
First crossing paths in their early twenties, Lee Gyeong-do (Park Seo-jun) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an) shared an immediate spark, but they were forced to break up due to external pressures. By chance, years later and in their late twenties, the pair reunite and take another shot at love, only for things to fall apart once more.
The third time might not be the charm in their story. Now working as a journalist, Gyeong-do finds himself covering a major scandal that involves the man Ji-woo is married to. When the story breaks, the pair comes into contact again and suddenly becomes embroiled in a scandal of their own. While working to escape the grasp of public scrutiny, Gyeong-do and Ji-woo begin to reflect heavily on their past relationship, causing a new unexpected chapter to begin.
Flat Girls: December 13
For her first feature-length film, Thai filmmaker Claire-Jirassaya Wongsutin presents a narrative that is sure to linger in your heart and mind long after the credits roll. Following its debut screening at the New York Asian Film Festival in July, the coming-of-age film Flat Girls is available on Netflix starting on December 13.
Taking center stage are two young girls, Ann (Fatima Dechawaleekul) and Jane (Kirana Pipityakorn), who both grew up in Bangkok’s police flat and formed an almost impenetrable bond. As they reach the cusp of adulthood, their friendship is thwarted by a variety of external factors, including the arrival of a young police officer, Tong (Pakorn Chatborirak). With his presence, the seemingly faultless world the two girls have experienced begins to falter, and harsh realities come to light. From coming to terms with matters of differing socioeconomic status, sexual identity, and the complexity of navigating relationships, there are many obstacles Ann and Jane must address before they can truly begin to come into themselves.
10DANCE: December 18
If you’re hooked on Heated Rivalry, you’ll definitely love this next one! Based on the ongoing manga series of the same name by Inouesatoh, the steamy romance film 10DANCE details the tense and demanding realities of the competitive dance world. At the center of the narrative, two dancers share a name, but differ in their specialties — Shinya Suzuki (Ryoma Takeuchi), the fiery Latin Dance Champion, and Shinya Sugiki (Keita Machida), the clean-cut Ballroom Champion.
Although they are both at the top of their game, in all of their years of competitive dancing, the pair has never deliberately crossed paths. That is, until they take on the challenge of entering the 10-dance competition. This tournament requires that each participant hold competence in both Latin and ballroom styles, which causes an unforeseen alliance to form. As the duo combines their passions and exchanges their skills, the lines between intensity and intimacy begin to blur, causing an indescribable energy to surface. Will the two Shinyas be able to combat their complex feelings and win the competition? Or will they leave with an even greater prize in the end?
