Genre-bending Puerto Rican rapper ericdoa is jumping into 2024 with DOA. Here, he’s taking glitchcore to the next level. The ten-song project, DOA, features a catalog of spunky trap and hyperpop songs. The project is filled with versatile and short tracks that convey angst. This comes after projects like his 2022 entry, things with wings. The rising singer saw continued success in 2022, landing placements on intellectual properties like Valorant with tracks like “>one – greater than one.”

Music to Dance with Somebody

DOA is a body of elaborate soundscapes, pulling listeners into wanting more. Though he stands amongst leaders within the newest generation of hyperpop, do not be fooled. He can certainly switch lanes into slick rap songs. On songs like “kickstand,” where he fully commits to laying down bars, it’s clear that he doesn’t need to follow any rules.

Ericdoa’s raspy yet strained vocals offer a sense of struggle, with his unique tone adding personality throughout the record. It’s hard after a couple of listens not to belt out the lyrics to tracks like “bigassbearman.” The record removes the polish of your typical studio LP. Instead it resembles something of a collection of songs. One thing is for certain though, ericdoa is going at his own pace, here to have fun, and making good music.

Taking to the Road

After opening for The Kid Laroi on his North American tour in 2023, ericdoa will be spreading his wings for his very own headliner, the Dead On Arrival Tour. He will be supported by bixby, a blossoming pop singer. The 24-stop tour spans across the U.S. and Canada, giving fans the chance to hear his new music live.

Tickets for ericdoa’s “Dead On Arrival” tour are available for sale on Ticketmaster now!
