Jeff Satur is Larger Than Life in New EP “Red Giant”
Coming off the heels of his 2025 Red Giant Tour, Thai singer-songwriter Jeff Satur is ending the year with his new EP of the same name. Known for his vocals and creative imagery, Satur returns with three new tracks, each steeped in his signature flair. Alongside these tracks, the Red Giant EP features the 2025 singles “Ride or Die” and “Tell Me the Name,” both of which have racked up over a million views on YouTube prior to the album’s release.
Full Speed Start
Red Giant opens with the addictive single “Ride or Die.” Originally released on January 10, “Ride or Die” is a pop-R&B track with heavy basslines and thrumming synth paired with Satur’s gritty vocals. The song sets the scene for a thrilling relationship that is worth every adrenaline-pumping moment. “I feel it / I feel the burning tires / Pedal down your love is a ride,” Satur belts in the chorus.
Satur dials up the groove in track two, “Passion Fruit.” One of three new tracks, “Passion Fruit” describes the bittersweet end of a rocky relationship. “I’m finally sober,” he sings wistfully in the first verse, “Been high off loving you for way too long.” The harmonic verse and prechorus give way to a stripped back chorus with only bass and percussion backing Satur’s vocals. He details the “bitter and sweet” risk of falling in love — comparing it to biting into a passion fruit. The head-bopping beat continues through the second verse and marks this track as a certified earworm.
The third track in the album is another previously released single, “Tell Me the Name.” Playing off dark romance tropes, it is a serious and cinematic track that promises revenge on those who hurt his lover. A simple acoustic guitar instrumental follows Satur’s consoling words in the first verse: “Lay down stay down my love / Lemme / Write down who hurts you please.” He conveys a quiet rage even through the chorus, detailing exactly what’s in store for “the lucky fools” he’ll pay a visit to. That sentiment explodes in the bridge as he tells those he’s chasing to “keep running, running, running,” hitting a high note that could put most sopranos to shame.

Slowing It Down
At the halfway mark of Red Giant, Jeff Satur changes gears. “Call it over” is a laid back pop-ballad that ruminates on the moments before an inevitable breakup. Satur sings with an air of defeat as he asks his lover to be the one to “call it” quits on the relationship. The track’s guitar and percussion instrumentals echo in empty space around Satur’s voice, making him sound like a lone singer in an empty dance hall. For songwriters like Jeff Satur, storytelling is as crucial in conveying the emotion of a song as the melody. “All stories are worth telling, even those without a happy ending,” Satur said in an interview. “Capturing the essence or feeling of the story and delivering that to the listeners is more important.” Paired with the visceral lyrics, the dreamy quality of “Call it over” brings listeners into a romantic drama of their own, making it the perfect heartbreak anthem.
The lead single, “ของขวัญปีใหม่ (Golden Night),” brings the EP to an end with a jazzy holiday flourish. This mid-tempo ballad shows off Satur’s sweet vocals as he sings about a melancholy New Year’s Eve and lost love. “This whole New Year’s still all yours,” he laments in the chorus, “Just like it’s always been / Can I get you as my New Year’s gift this year?” A saxophone solo is the highlight of the bridge and final chorus, giving the track an extra jazz embellishment that perfectly captures the holiday vibe. “ของขวัญปีใหม่ (Golden Night)” is accompanied by an English version, which features different lyrics than the original Thai version. In this chorus, Satur has a different request for his lover, asking, “On the last day of the year / Could it be the first day I’ll be with you?”
A Star-Studded Future
Although Red Giant marks the end of an era, Jeff Satur is far from done. He affirmed in a press release that the “Red Giant” concept is representative of “the intense, transformative state of a star right before it bursts into a brand-new beginning.”
A prolific actor as well as singer, Satur established his own production company in 2022, Studio On Saturn. Halfway through 2024, he announced his very own drama series Happy Ending Series has Satur’s name written all over it — he is slated to write, produce, and star in the series, as well as compose the music. On November 6, Jeff Satur appeared in another pilot released on YouTube for My Chef in Crime The Series. Although there is no official release date for either series, fans can anticipate the same quality of artistry from him in film as on stage.
