On September 9, South Korean singer Jisoo attended the Tommy Hilfiger Spring Summer 2025 show. Her New York Fashion Week appearance marked the beginning of her relationship with the brand. For days, fashion insiders and fans of the artist craved to see the partnership in real-time. Fortunately, Jisoo traveled to New York to attend the event aboard the MV John F. Kennedy ferry.
As usual, Jisoo exuded elegance and grace, wearing a casual NYC-leaning outfit. Following the varsity jacket trend from spring, she offered back-to-school inspiration with her beanie and oversized apparel. The K-pop darling also sported pin-straight hair and matte makeup to match the outfit’s edgy tone.
Skater Girl Chic
Jisoo’s loyalty towards feminine Parisian silhouettes shook up once she stepped onto Pier 17 to attend Tommy Hilfiger’s most recent presentation. Some could even say the outfit turned a new page in her style book — but that’s up for debate. Consisting of comfy casuals, her ensemble could only be described as skater-girl chic. The “Flower” singer arrived in a large navy varsity jacket and a corduroy mini skirt set. Influenced by ‘90s skater fashion trends, Jisoo slipped on a chunky black beanie for the chilly night out.
One Way Only: Matte
Jisoo’s makeup look stood out for its almost all matte finish and color choice. The makeup application danced the fine line between cute and chic. Pink, mauve, and cozy brown shades enhanced her features with a subtle glow. However, Jisoo’s skin remained almost exclusively matte, bringing the perfect counterpart to her tomboy outfit.
Powdery Matte Skin
Jisoo achieved powdery matte skin with full coverage base makeup — minus her nose bridge. The glow on her nose bridge brought attention to the center of her face and lengthened her mid-face, creating an elegant look. Cool, baby pink blush sat high on her cheeks for an igari-inspired flush.
Toasted Mauve Eyes
Meanwhile, the eye makeup created a soft cat eye effect with eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lashes. The eyeshadow colors landed somewhere between mauve and soft brown and the makeup artist accentuated Jisoo’s aegyosal with contour powder and fine glitter. Following the Korean idol lashes trend, her lashes were coated with mascara and pinched together to create spikes. Individual false lashes added to the doll-like appearance.
Rosy Lip
Jisoo’s makeup artist revived yet another Korean beauty trend for her glam: the overlip effect. This technique normally focuses on rounding out the cupid’s bow and bottom lip. The lip liner also highlighted the outer corners of her lips for a natural smiling effect. Jisoo’s cupid’s bow and the center of her lips were overlined but kept their natural shape. Smoothing the lip liner together, matte rose lipstick filled the center of her lips.
Silky Smooth Hair
Remember how her beanie referenced ‘90s skater fashion trends? This style also influenced Jisoo’s hair for the evening. The K-pop star reintroduced the pin-straight hair trend from the ‘90s, sporting her long silky hair under the beanie. The Y2K hair moment effortlessly matched the outfit’s urban sensibilities.
It’s safe to state that something about Jisoo’s style agenda shifted at the Tommy Hilfiger Spring Summer 2025 show. Jisoo’s makeup, hair, and outfit all came together, embodying an effortless, slightly retro aesthetic.
