Ten years ago, Yoon Ena was the only witness at her uncle’s murder — with no recollection of how it happened or how she got there. To make it worse, she’s now the prime suspect of her uncle’s murder case, handled by Detective Kim Han-saem. With a gap in her memory and only a puzzle piece left behind as the murderer’s unique calling card — items purposefully left behind as a taunt or signature by a criminal at the crime scene — Ena has little to defend herself.

ON THE CASE

Now, ten years later, Yoon Ena has hustled her way into becoming a criminal profiler in the Seoul Metropolitan Police division, set to solve crime cases that are like her uncle’s. When a puzzle piece that fits the one left at her uncle’s death is found, Ena unravels a string of murder cases that seem suspiciously related.

Still wary of her as a prime suspect for her uncle’s case, Detective Kim generally thinks of Yoon Ena as a puzzling figure herself but can’t deny what could possibly be his best lead. With cases piling up and no answer to be found, he strikes a temporary partnership to solve the mystery behind the murders and the woman beside him.
