Superstar, newly debuted solo singer, and fashion icon, Lisa Manobal, has continuously shaken up the status quo. A seasoned performer, the BLACKPINK member collects new titles with every endeavor. After the unveiling of her most recent fragrance campaign, Lisa scored another modeling gig, walking the runway of CELINE’s Women Spring/Summer 2022. Titled “Baie des Anges,” the fashion show marks Lisa’s catwalk debut.

CELINE at Baie des Anges

French house CELINE presented its Spring/Summer 2022 womenswear collection on December 3. Unlike many fashion brands that promptly returned to in-person events last season, CELINE continues to showcase its collections through films. For his latest destination show, Hedi Slimane turned the famous Baie des Anges, into a runway. With the Mediterranean Sea and landmarks of Nice on the horizon, models walked clad in the designer’s latest creations. Among them, Kaia Gerber, Diana Silvers, and Suzanne Lindon made cameos in the film.

Lisa’s Runway Debut

However, it was the involvement of the Thai fashion maven, Lisa Manobal, that came in as a very welcome surprise. Making several appearances in black-and-white cuts, Lisa once again demonstrated her “designer muse” status. The BLACKPINK member also walked the runway in a varsity jacket, wide-legged jeans, and pastel-colored sunglasses. Considering Lisa’s long-standing alliance with CELINE, it is no surprise the entire collection offered nods to the young rapper and her signature style. 

The Collection 

Just like previous collections, youth remains a constant in Hedi Slimane’s work. In “Baie des Anges,” the Creative Director of CELINE presented a twist on what the French call ‘néo-bourgeoise’. Mixing staples of French style and sportswear elements, the collection succeeds at offering high-end casual wear that’s both chic and trendy. 

Lisa’s Spectacular Year In Fashion

Though Lisa is in no way a stranger to the fashion scene—serving as the ambassador of CELINE, Bulgari and MAC Cosmetics—she has cemented her status as a fashion icon in 2021. Among a long list of incredible deeds, the multi-hyphenate became a jury member of the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award, fronted magazines, and starred in several campaigns. Prior to her debut as a runway model, Lisa was announced as the first-ever ambassador of CELINE’s Haute Parfumerie. In addition, the artist also broke records with her solo debut and collaborated with MAC for her first makeup line.
