NCT’s third album is only a few days away. Gearing up toward its release, the group has offered a first look at the songs featured in Universe. Following NCT DREAM’s “Dreaming” and Way V’s “Miracle,” NCT 127 brought a track video for their song “Earthquake.”

Bring The Earthquake

In preparation for NCT’s forthcoming album, NCT 127 is raising anticipation with the single “Earthquake.” On December 6 (KTS) the group unveiled a track video for the song. The 2:37-minute clip shows the members of the NCT subunit in an industrial-style setting, aftermath of a natural disaster. The nine-member act appears confidently singing and dancing to a hip-hop-infused track that provides rock elements and a powerful chorus. The single, which is described as a song with “explosive energy,” highlights the group’s “rough, chic charms”. Meanwhile, animal prints, leather jackets, and staples of grunge fashion blend in the styling for “Earthquake.” 

Teaser Pictures 

The track video comes after a slew of group and individual photos posted on social media the day prior. The teaser pictures showed all nine members confidently posing and flaunting their “intense charisma.”  Taeil, Johnny, Doyoung, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan caught attention dressed in looks proper of NCT 127’s experimental brand. 

Fans’ Frenzy

As one might expect, NCT 127’s powerful “Earthquake,” was received with excitement. Despite a slight delay with the video release, fans promptly took to Twitter to share their positive reactions to the music video. “Earthquake” quickly became a trending topic under the music category.

Universe Is Coming

In a press release, SM Entertainment announced NCT’s third album, Universe, includes two title songs: “Universe” (Let’s Play Ball) and “Beautiful.” The album also features “unique songs” from NCT’s subunits and other lineup combinations. “Universe” (Let’s Play Ball) will be pre-released on December 10 at 6 pm (KTS) and it is said to be a “hip-hop-based R&B dance song.”Reportedly, members Doyoung, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, YangYang, and Shotaro will participate in the track. 

Meanwhile, Universe will be unveiled on December 14. It contains a total of 13 songs, including NCT 127’s “Earthquake.” As the release date is fast approaching, stay tuned for more news about NCT’s impending comeback!
