It is not a secret that NCT’s Yuta is a widely recognized figure in Japan. From becoming the most followed Japanese male celebrity on Instagram to advertising Tom Ford fragrances on Vogue, the member of NCT 127 has conquered the hearts of the Japanese public. Most recently, the idol fronted the November number of GQ Japan

Donning looks from Dior’s 2021 Fall Collection for the cover, the Japanese singer presented the vintage-themed issue of the magazine. Yuta, who was introduced as NCT 127’s “Hot Prince,” is featured in a 10-pages spread that includes an exclusive interview. Reminiscing the past, Yuta shared the challenges of moving to Korea, his expectations for the future, and his love for Japan. “I’m proud of being Japanese, and I’m aware that [certain] fashion and performances can always be expressed because I’m Japanese,” he said. In addition, GQ has revealed behind-the-scenes footage of Yuta’s interview. Among other subjects, the artist spoke about his favorite Japanese musicians, his must-have items, and his current fragrance of choiceTom Ford’s Neroli Portofino. As it was expected, Yuta shared his love for Japanese artists like Miyavi, Kōji Tamaki and L’Arc-en-Ciel.  “There are a lot of artists that I respect but personally, the artist that I respect, who is active abroad and doing things passionately is Miyavi. I really like is L’Arc-en-Ciel too, and among the Japanese artists that I listen to when I feel tired or I’m having a hard time is Koji Tamaki. I respect him a lot,” Yuta said.
