Old Dog, New Tricks: October 3
“You can shove this job up your ass” is what Antón (Luiz Zahera) whispers into his boss’ ear on his first day at his new job. His glory days as a farm veterinarian are long gone as rural Spain is hit with a farming crisis. Farmers are cutting losses, and naturally, so is Antón. With his clientele dangerously dwindling and bills racking up beyond his means, he can’t afford to be picky.
His new job is still animal-friendly but in an entirely different manner. He now works at Kawanda — the fancy pet store curated towards urban pet parents — with his niece Uxia (Lucía Caraballo) as his boss. From excessively concerned “human companions,” a.k.a. pet owners, to eccentric pets themselves, Antón’s clients are a world apart from what he’s used to. Although his customer service skills need some serious intervention, Antón as his grumpy, caring self will make this Spanish comedy a treat to watch.
Genie, Make a Wish: October 3
Make a wish, and Kim Woo-bin might appear as your genie. Finally awakening after a millenia, the lamp spirit, Genie (Kim Woo-bin), is keen to stir up trouble amongst humans again. After all, he’s been witness to humanity’s greedy, selfish wishes since the start of his very existence. Unfortunately, he also proudly claims to be an evil bastard and sweetly revels in the corruption that erupts in his wake.
Genie gets thrust upon his lamp’s newest owner — Ka-young (Suzy) — who could be his worst master yet. She’s a tad psychopathic, antisocial, and frankly, disinterested. She doesn’t have any wishes to make and intends to keep it that way. Despite her callous attitude, she, oddly enough, believes humanity to be above Genie’s degrading evaluation. So, she makes a bet. Putting her life on the line, she commits to proving that humanity isn’t as corrupt as he says. If she’s wrong, no amount of wishing will save her.
Caramelo: October 8
Pedro (Rafael Vitti) is making a name for himself in the culinary world, hustling in the kitchen behind the scenes at Ybaé as head chef. Running his own restaurant is his biggest dream and he’s seriously chopping it up to make it happen. When a stray caramelo dog dives into the restaurant and upends all cooking operations tracing a trail of delicious scents, Pedro rings in his first furry customer.
Pedro takes the caramelo dog in and names him “Amendoim,” the Portuguese word for peanut — perfect for a hardy dog on the outside and nutty on the inside. His life uproots itself in accommodating the naughty daredevil who snatches up patties and shreds up furniture. He can’t stay mad for long, though, with Amendoim’s energy bleeding into his life. If the mess left behind a newly adopted dog isn’t enough, his life uproots itself once more when he gets an unexpected medical diagnosis that forces him to re-evaluate, well, everything. Life gets even messier, but he can trust his furry friend to always be right by his side.
It Was Just An Accident: October 15
Nothing is out of the ordinary as a family of three blares music on their fun night drive. The light mood is immediately killed when the dad, Eghbal, accidentally runs over a dog. Driving further along until their car breaks down, they take it to a nearby garage to get it fixed. Vahid, who happens to be nearby, hears Eghbal’s prosthetic leg and recognizes it from when he was in prison.
Vahid was blindfolded during his incarceration, but he vividly recalls the squeaky sounds from his tormentor — identical to what Eghbal’s leg sounds like. Intent on delivering revenge, he stalks Eghbal, kidnaps him, and is wholly prepared to kill him. Eghbal fiercely resists, insisting that Vahid’s got the wrong man. As doubt slowly starts to leak in, Vahid contacts former prisoners to confirm Eghbal’s identity — but they were all blindfolded too.
The Twits: October 17

The Twits are the despicable, unhygienic, and generally unlikeable owners of the amusement park, Twitlandia. They’re a match made in hell, with tricks as wild as their hair. Unfortunately, they’re also amassing power in their town, and that just won’t do. With the young duo Beesha and Bubsy courageously leading the fight against the crazy couple, the kids better start brainstorming because the Twits aren’t your average neighbors.
Netflix’s new animated film is based on Roald Dahl’s novel of the same name. With a whimsical animation style and a plot that’s seriously unhinged, it’s the perfect time to watch something fun in true Roald Dahl fashion.

Starting off the plot from the Heartslabyul arc, known to be “twisted” from Alice in Wonderland, Twisted Wonderland (2025) drops you into a world of crossovers, where different Disney verses collide.

Summoned by a magic mirror and sent to a world that’s clearly not his own, Yuuken drops inside Night Raven College, a magic-based school housing students based on Disney villains. He rejects this so-called prestigious academy, but unfortunately, he’s stuck. With no other choice, he enrolls, trying to find his way back home.
