A Musical “Reflection”

PSYCHIC FILE III kicks off with the dreamy “Reflection.” Produced by their close collaborator JIGG who worked on hits like “What’s Happenin’” and “Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY,” it is the perfect introduction to the EP. “Reflection” plays out like a check-in message to a loved one. WEESA begins the song by asking, “What’s up babe, what you doing? / You don’t know how much I love ya / Show your teeth, let me see everything you do.”

“Reflection” features a cloud rap sound — a rap subgenre categorized by a more relaxed, lo-fi adjacent production. It still features the recognizable hip-hop elements across their discography, but opts for a more gentle ambiance with sparkling trills and nostalgic synths. This dreamlike atmosphere eases listeners into the multidimensional groove of PSYCHIC FILE III

“We challenged ourselves to bend genres, which allowed us to express diverse sides of our charms, reflecting where we are not just as individuals, but as artists in a team,” PSYCHIC FEVER said. “There’s a lot of sonic variety on this record, so we hope fans notice how each track reveals a different side of us.”

A “Sweet And Icy” Summer Escape

The EP’s lead single, “Gelato,” delivers PSYCHIC FEVER’s quintessential lover boy vibes. Compared to the passion showcased in previous serenades like “Love Fire” and “BEE-PO,” this lead single is notably more sophisticated with its slower-paced sweetness. “Gelato” is an alternative R&B track layered with synth and electro-disco qualities for extra depth.

The lyrics convey a confession to an irresistible summer love. The song includes clever wordplay like “Let me be near you ForEVER” and “I think we got the same FEVER.” “Gelato” is a fitting title to their romance, as they admit “You’re sweet and icy girl” and “Your kiss is just like gelato / Girl I wanna taste.” This prompted EnVi to wonder — what flavors best describe “Gelato?”

“If ‘Gelato’ [the song] were a flavor, it’d be a blend of vanilla, mango, and maybe even a little matcha– sweet and smooth in the most unexpected, best way,” the team revealed. “Vanilla gives it that classic, feel-good base, mango adds the juicy burst of summer, and matcha brings a cool twist. It’s the kind of flavor that surprises you but instantly makes you smile, just like the song.”

The cherry-on-top to this sweet release is the official music video. The members sing across various sets — from a warmly lit bar, to an infinity pool embraced by sunlight. Each of the backdrops capture the unique essence of the respective members. Of course, it isn’t a PSYCHIC FEVER music video without crisp choreography shots. The dance shots alternate between day and night, building upon the song’s versatility as an afternoon pick-me-up or romantic night jam.

Endlessly “Evolving”

PSYCHIC FILE III is definitely the boldest chapter of our journey so far,” the team shared. “While PSYCHIC FILE I and PSYCHIC FILE II reflect our roots and early experiences, this project captures how much we’ve grown after spending [time performing] across the world. Our valuable experiences across the US, Southeast Asia, Europe and of course Japan brought a more mature and adult-like atmosphere, compared to our previous releases.”

The subsequent track, “EVOLVE,” is emblematic of this sentiment. “EVOLVE” is a bold declaration of why PSYCHIC FEVER is deserving of their lifestyle. The song’s title takes after “PSYCHIC FEVER LIVE TOUR 2025 ‘EVOLVE’ in JAPAN.” The song’s hook is straight to the point: “Everybody wanna be famous, famous, famous / This too hard, but it got paid off, paid off, paid off.” On the surface, PSYCHIC FEVER are glamorous stars — but it took the septet years of hard work and sacrifice to get to this point.

The rage trap beat is the perfect companion to the team’s confident verses. A standout aspect of this song are the fiery lyrics. PSYCHIC FEVER’s bars are on point as they attribute luxury fashion brands to their resilient journey with lines like “Flare it like Celine denim” and “Are you proud of me? / I’m wearing Prada on me.”

A “Promise” To ForEVERs

PSYCHIC FEVER do a conceptual 180 on PSYCHIC FILE III’s final number, “PROMISE.” The tropical pop song with house flair is dedicated to their fanbase, ForEVER. The song came with a heartfelt concept video that recaps precious moments spent with ForEVERs. “PROMISE” is an ode to ForEVERs that they are truly the heart of everything they do. They sing: “Catch my hand if you need me / And I promise, I’ll be here forever.”

“PROMISE” is a fitting soundtrack for PSYCHIC FEVER’s ongoing “ForEVER Connect: PCF Fanmeet North America Tour 2025.” With the intention of getting even closer with global audiences, this exclusive fanmeet features special fan engagement opportunities on top of stellar performances. “The whole setlist is designed to connect with fans in new ways, and we can’t wait to perform for the fans,” PSYCHIC FEVER noted. If a dedicated song and fanmeet tour wasn’t enough for you  — don’t worry, because PSYCHIC FEVER prepared a special message to ForEVERS!

“Thank you for always believing in us and staying with us for such a long time,” the team said. “Your support means more than words can express — it gives us the courage to keep growing, trying new things, and sharing our music with the world. PSYCHIC FILE III is for you. We can’t wait to meet you all on tour and create unforgettable memories together. Let’s keep building this journey, forever.”
