aespa – โDirty Workโ

Aespa are back and fierce as ever with their latest single, โDirty Work.โ Coming off the heels of their most successful year yet and a world tour under their belt, โDirty Workโ delivers quintessential aespa. The hip-hop focused dance track melts intense snares and synth bass for a hypnotic, confident anthem. The quartetโs vocals shine as they go above and beyond to serve their kaleidoscopic vocal range. The raspy and hypnotic chorus delivery segues into a catchy rap flow and, of course, it isnโt an aespa song without a bridge full of explosive vocals.
The opening lines lay the groundwork for the song: โWorld domination / I donโt gotta say it / Like a groundbreaking / Mutant.โ Now five years into their career, aespa are more confident than ever and are unafraid of showing it. It was revealed in a press release that the gripping music video features โstorage yards, heavy machinery, and a staggering 225 extrasโ all within the backdrop of a Hyundai Steel plant. The quartet conquer this unlikely stage fearlessly with their dominating presence and tight choreography.
โDirty Workโ is all about embracing your inner baddie, and that sentiment is doubled on โDirty Work (feat. Flo Milli).โ The Alabama rapper is โConceitedโ in the best way possible โ always advocating for self-love through her irresistible hits. If you still canโt get enough of โDirty Work,โ the single also features an English version and instrumental!
Sylo – โCarve Me Outโ

Syloโs new single โCrave Me Outโ takes a bold leap into unknown territory, trading his signature velvet-soft R&B for something moodier and electronic. Itโs his first release since last yearโs Tiny Desk Concert and marks the start of his musical dive into something more raw and reckless. โCarve Me Outโ is filled with tension and synths, with Syloโs silky vocals creating the perfect soundscape for a dissociation session. The track captures the sinking feeling when you realize the relationship is dying and youโre just too burnt out to put up a fight. Sylo sings, โWeโre not the same people we were years ago.โ Heโs changed, sheโs changed, but their relationship is stagnant. He acknowledges how theyโve grown apart. Their fire has dimmed, and theyโll do nothing but watch until it dies. Defeated, Sylo sings, โWeโll keep doing this till itโs over / What have we got now?โ This song is a pre-breakup reflection, allowing the numbness to settle in before the inevitable ending.
In a press release, Sylo shared, โI spent the last four years with this person in the same city I was born in. I knew that for there to be real change in my life, I had to literally move to another country not just for her, but to move on from the old patterns, habits, and behaviors that dictated so much of who I was.โ For Sylo, โCarve Me Outโ is a commemoration of that relationship. Heโs shed his old skin and is ready to start anew. The visualizer features Sylo on a cable car with a dejected expression on his face. Yet, heโs still grooving, and so are we.
Offroad Kantapon – โAll Fakeโ
Offroad Kantapon lays down his soul in his latest release, โเนเธชเธฃเนเธ (All Fake).โ This heart-wrenching Thai soul R&B track has Offoad Kantapon pleading for truth and honesty in love. With smooth, melancholic gloves, Offroad delivers vulnerable performance, begging his partner to stop with the painful charade. He sings, โDonโt pretend to love me/ Donโt be so cruel.โ The song aches with his agony of knowing the light in their relationship has burned out, yet theyโre still together, and itโs hurting him inside. In the music video, heโs forced to witness the painful reality of his loverโs infidelity, all while reminiscing on memories that now all feel fake. Itโs a cinematic, dramatic unraveling of a relationship with no sincerity. The story ends with a dramatic twist, but weโll let you watch and witness that moment for yourself.
flowerovlove – โnew friendsโ

Young Londoner songstress flowerovlove just dropped the perfect accompaniment to those late night summer drives. โNew friendsโ is an upbeat, indie-pop tune and is the follow-up to her Valentineโs Day release, โIโve seen ur ex.โ Flowerovlove offers up a witty and unapologetic response to the friend zone in this new single. She sings atop the bouncy synth: โโCuz if you donโt know what love is / and if this is how you handle business / youโre not worth the friendship.โ Flowerovlove describes the track in a press release as โa conversational summery pop phenomenon about the state after a breakup where the other person asks to still be friends just to keep u around new friends takes us on a journey of empowerment of knowing you want to be in love and in a lovergirl world.โ
Listeners first got a taste of โnew friendsโ earlier this month as flowerovlove opened for Halsey during select U.S. tour dates. If youโre looking for something fresh, yet nostalgic, for your summer playlist โ look no further! pop sound and playful melody. The lyrics are oozing with reassurance, making โBetter Than Meโ the perfect summer affirmation. WONHO sings โYouโll realize, thereโs only one me and you canโt lie / No one does it better than me.โ
โThis song is about knowing your worth, even when love ends, itโs okay to say, โYou wonโt find another me,โ WONHO commented in a press release. โSometimes the most powerful thing you can do is walk away with confidence.โ This song is just a glimpse of what is to come for WONHO, who is amping up for his debut full-length album. WONHO is embarking on his โSTAY AWAKEโ 2025 South America Tour and preparing for global promotions in the coming weeks, ready to showcase his upgraded and unrivaled charisma to fans everywhere.
KATSEYE – โGameboyโ

In a press release, KATSEYE describe the song as โthe big sister of โTouch.โโ It is an uplifting pop anthem for those ready to move onto a new chapter. In tune with the songโs title, it is full of witty gaming punchlines and 8-bit sounds.
The music video continues this theme with plenty of game motifs. SOPHIA, MANON, DANIELA, MEGAN, and YOONCHAE dance atop a light-up floor reminiscent of pixels whilst LARA controls the members in a phone game. The package is complete with bouncy choreography featuring animated poses and controller motions. With another contagious hit in their discography, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS is shaping up to be the perfect summer soundtrack!
Alex Teh – โblinkโ

Alex Teh returns with โblink,โ a soft, soulful offering that feels like a gentle exhale after a long cry. Following her February release of โfive,โ this track is the third single from her upcoming debut EP. This song is deeply personal to Alex, born from the loss of her uncle and shaped by watching her fatherโs quiet strength in caring for his brother. What began as a poem eventually blossomed into a tender, soul-soothing song.
The track opens with the quiet beep of hospital monitors, akin to the sound of a steady heartbeat, before gentle guitar strums and piano take over. Alexโs voice is barely above a whisper as she sings, โLet the angels hear you / This wasnโt your fault in the first place.โ Her lyrics capture both sorrow and strength as her vocals move with care through each verse. When a choir joins in at the end, it lifts the song into a space of shared grief and resilience. With the refrain, โBlink, I see the light in your eyes/ So wonโt you hold on tight/ Weโll make it out alive.โ Itโs a reminder that hope can still be found even in the bleakest moments of life. If you need a soft place to land, โblinkโ can offer you that comfort.
JVNA – โAngels Fallingโ
Looking for something glitzy and dreamy with a touch of EDM? JVNAโs got you covered with her newest hyperpop single, โAngels Falling.โ Itโs a shimmering techno-house anthem built for summer nights and neon-lit dance floors. Glossy, intense, and a tad bit dangerous; itโs perfect for your hot girl summer. With pounding beats, trance-y synths, and an irresistibly catchy hook, โAngels Fallingโ is here to elevate you onto a celestial level. JVNAโs ethereal-like cascade over the beat as she sings, โAll the stars / Are angels falling.โ Sweet and seductive, the lyrics are all about transformation and rebirth: โI killed the old me/She used to bring me down.โ Thereโs a rebellious edge to the trackโs glitter, but JVNA completely owns it. The music video captures the same outworldly charisma with JVNA glowing in the dark. Let โAngels Fallingโ soundtrack your summer glow-up.

Laufey – โLover Girlโ

Musical powerhouse Laufey premiered the latest single from her forthcoming album, A Matter of Time. โLover Girlโ taps into Laufeyโs more upbeat sound with elements of jazz and classical music fused into pop with cheeky hints of bossa nova. Laufey has come a long way since โFalling Behindโ and โFrom the Start,โ with this track capturing how she is now fully smitten by love. The songโs release was coupled with an official lyric video with chords. It seems like no one can get enough of Laufey, and until the full album drops, โLover Girlโ is sure to be on repeat!

Spoiler alert! ChatGPT doesnโt approve of his love interest. โYouโre not for me, thatโs what ChatGPT told me,โ Camilo sings with soft frustration. However, AI isnโt always correct, and Camilo knows what he wants. โAnd I still choose you,โ he declares. His pop-folk instrumentation gives the track a cozy, chill beat to vibe to as he explores the new nuances of modern romance. In a post about the track, Camilo states, โWe live surrounded by quick answersโฆ love is something you feelโฆ And nothing โ and no one โ can ever feel it for us.โ Nothing can replace your own intuition, and itโs up to you to pursue whatever your heart desires. โMalditio ChatGPTโ is equal parts quirky and sincere. For anyone whoโs ever loved someone who doesnโt quite check all the boxes, Camilo reminds us that love doesnโt have to follow a certain programmed code.
late night drive home – โas i watch my life onlineโ
Late night drive home breaks through the digital delusion with their latest album as I watch my life online. With thirteen genre-blurring tracks, this new album is a case study of living in the shadows of the digital realm. The first and title track, โas i watch my life online,โ is a glitchy spiral through hyperfunk rhythms, garage rock, and distorted static. In the lyrics, the band explores how hyper-tuned our society is to the digital world, forgetting the physical one we’re living in. โWe got everythingโ is repeated constantly throughout the song, capturing how you have everything at your fingertips thanks to the internet. Ironically, the comfort found on the web is just surface-level, and in fact, not everything can be found online. For example, a real human connection. The song sounds like a conversation with someone who doesnโt know they have an addiction. Instead, they are offering contradictory excuses about their hyperfixation on living solely in the digital world. โYouโre an addict anyway,โ the band points out, not just to the person theyโre speaking to, but society. Late night drives home โas I watch my life onlineโ is sure to pull out your doomscroll session, and think about what reality youโre living in.
Other tracks in this weekโs Sunday Spin playlist include โUselessโ by Survive Said The Prophet, โMAPAโ by SB19 and Aruma, and โDIFFERENTโ by LE SSERAFIM. Listen to everything mentioned and more, curated by Team EnVi only for you on Spotify.
