PERSES – “ห้ามขยับจับนะ (FREEZE)”

In the mood for T-Pop this summer? Leave it to GNEST prodigies like PERSES to deliver the heat with their latest track “ห้ามขยับจับนะ (FREEZE),” the fifth single set to be released on their second album ALTERLAND. Known for tracks like “Bodyguard” and “Cuteless,” the rising quintet composed of members Nay, Palm, Jung, Pluggy, and Krittin break all the rules in this alluring single full of energy and cool mischief.

Composed by Mayo James and lyrics penned by rapper NAMEMT (who’s known for his features with Thai hit-rapper MILLI) and singer-songwriter GeniePak, “Freeze” is a high-tempo pop track with a dancehall hip-hop twist. The track begins with a sensual melody and a pulsing beat — with lyrics like “Just got a call, someone’s dialling in a case / Emergency, looks like someone’s playing with fire / Heard the news, I’ve got a duty to pursue.” The boys describe a case they must catch. What is the case? A girl’s love.

Other than their unique cadence, the track’s accompanying music video is also worth noting. Set as the backdrop of PERSES’ charm, the hustle and bustle of Bangkok’s streets provide the most fitting location. From market vendor stalls to the iconography of the tuk-tuk, the video teems with the temptation to give into the girl’s charm.. But wait, that’s not all. In the remaining minute of the music video, the boys catch you off guard with a hard-hitting dance break. With nods to dancehall and amapiano influences, the sequence is taken to a whole new level – ending with “Slash, Slash, Slash / Freeze.” Are you ready to freeze?

Asian American K-pop trio Eddie, Elaya, and Lei of RE:WIND are back with their debut EP RE:MINSCE. The five track EP hits all the feels from dealing with heartbreak to healing with new beginnings. As a nod to their past blending elements of old school R&B influences with modern K-pop precision, the second track “Little Too Late” is melancholic and a classic anthem for yearners. “It’s a little too late to say goodbye,” they sing in the chorus. The lyrics describe reaching out for someone they can’t let go of. Why let go of a connection if the intensity and feelings are unmatched? “Little Too Late” takes a spin from being too late to connecting with a romantic interest to proclaiming they’re too deep in to say goodbye.

ena mori – “Portion Control”

Filipino-Japanese artist ena mori released her EP rOe this past weekend, a six track project that explores her past memories and current feelings. Her song “Portion Control” whimsically explores themes of emotional overwhelm and struggles to find balance. Her lyrics paint a picture of finding control amidst internal chaos, from upside down mountains to mesmerizing lakes. “I just want it all / More and more / Am I delusional / Going down / Spiraling out of control,” she sings. Pairing the lyrics with the music video, which shows dreamlike and psychedelic imagery, mori further dives into this liminal space. Perfect for a nighttime drive or when you’re feeling existential, “Portion Control” is a jam you’ll find yourself getting lost in!

Keshi – “WANTCHU”

Keshi’s back to get you in your feels with his new single “WANTCHU.” Fresh off last year’s release of Requiem and his debut stage at Coachella, the Houston-raised singer, songwriter, and producer is transforming attraction into something musical while still trying (or pretending) to play it cool. “Don’t gotta talk/I know what you mean,” he sings in a low, magnetic tone, letting the lyrics hang in the air like a secret only he and the apple of his eye share.

Built on airy synths, pulsing bass, and keshi’s signature mix of R&B and alt-pop atmosphere, “WANTCHU” pulls you into the same gravity it’s describing. The song is a sound of stolen glances across a room, pretending you’re not thinking about them when they’re the only thing on your mind. It’s the type of track that simmers softly instead of exploding, making every beat and shaky breath feel deliberately crafted like a slow burn you don’t want to end. With “WANTCHU,” keshi once again proves he’s a master of turning fleeting emotions into unforgettable sonic escapes and daydreams. Just don’t be surprised if you find yourself hitting replay and texting someone you swear you don’t have any feelings for.

Charlotte Sands – “neckdeep”

Charlotte Sands is diving headfirst into a bold new era with her recent single release, “neckdeep.” Following last year’s release of can we start over?, Sands is back with a bratty hyperpop track, delivering the right amount of jilted punch. With “neckdeep,” the singer fuses brooding alt-rock vibes and metallic punk grit, creating an infectious sound. It’s a full-throttle scream into a sonic void that captures the frustration and desperation of realizing you’re no longer a priority in a relationship.

From the moment the song begins, you’re swept into her emotional whirlwind, as she belts out “Why would you tell me that you’re neck deep/ When you’re really one foot out?” You can practically feel the tension rising as she sings, “You make me wanna take this car and drive into a ditch.” Sands described in a press release the track as something that teeters on the edge of helplessness and revenge. It gives a thrilling glimpse into her evolving sound and a powerful anthem for anyone grappling with heartbreak and being overlooked despite pouring your heart out. “Neckeep” is the perfect amount of emotional angst you definitely need to add into your week.

Danny Singh – “Trickin”

Following his earlier release of “Full Picture,” Danny Singh is back with a fresh new sound on the upbeat track “TRICKIN.” With this single, Singh effortlessly blends his bouncy R&B flair with something flirtatious and playful. The cheeky lyrics, “One shot of Henny got me feeling the answer, two shots of Henny gonna turn me to a dancer,” makes it an irresistible invitation to let loose and groove. “TRICKIN” showcases Singh’s versatility and knack for shifting moods with ease.

Rising from Queens with church harmonies, family, and Guyanese roots, Danny Singh is exploding onto the musical scene, coining his own distinctive musical style with his blend of punk rock and R&B. His viral On The Radar performance of  “WYD?” racked up millions of views, proving his ability to captivate audiences with his riveting beats. “Trickin” is just the latest chapter in his continuing musical evolution. With its fun, infectious, and impossible sound, it’s the perfect way to light up the last month of summer.

Naomi Scott – “Cut Me Loose”

Singer-song writer Naomi Scott slows things down with her latest release, “Cut Me Loose,” a tender yet powerful alt-pop ballad. Following her electrifying debut at Lollapalooza, “Cut Me Loose” is the second single to be released from Scott’s upcoming debut album, soon to be released in 2026. The track captures that fragile tipping point in a relationship where you know someone’s already pulling away. All that’s left is to give them the final push to cut you loose.

“So cut me with the truth/Make it clean/Say it to me,” she sings, letting each confession hit directly into your heart and soul. Her voice is warm and aching, wrapping around the sparse production. With her raw emotions taking center stage of this track, Scott lets each note swell with the tension of letting go and holding on. If you’re looking for your “It’s fine, I’m fine (not really)” song, “Cut Me Loose” is the one for you!

Disclosure & Anderson.Paak  – “NO CAP”

Don’t put away your summer shades just yet! Disclosure and Anderson.Paak just dropped their new single “NO CAP,” bringing the blazing sunshine grooves and all-day energy. DJ duo Disclosure lays down a sun-soaked house beat that shimmers with bassy warmth, while Anderson.Paak joins in with slick bars and smooth hooks that feel like they were made for dancing with a drink in hand. It’s got that perfect playful bounce for a day party.

“NO CAP” is breezy enough to keep things cool, with enough pull to get you throwing your hands up in the air. When Anderson.Paak calls listeners to “report to the dance floor” and “turn up the vibes” on the track, you basically have no choice but to obey. The rhythm is entrancing, and if it doesn’t have your hips swaying, it’ll definitely have your head bobbing. “NO CAP” is continuing the summer fun with its tropical disco sound.

Laufey – “Snow White”

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? Laufey’s “Snow White” expands upon the classic fairy tale question, diving deep into the modern-day struggle behind the age-old quest for beauty. With gentle acoustic guitars that slowly bloom into a soft orchestra, the song paints something delicate and honest, offering a painful self-reflection from Laufey on self-worth and sharp societal expectations.

Her tender vocals carry lines like “A woman’s best currency’s her body, not her brain,” exposing the harsh reality of today’s beauty standards with her classic bittersweet vulnerability. It’s not just a song, but Laufey’s story of comparison, longing, and her chase for perfection, and the magic mirror is anything but kind to her. “Snow White” is just one of the standout tracks from Laufey’s upcoming album A Matter of Time, out August 22. It’s a graceful, emotionally rich listen that invites you to sit now and contemplate the surface of beauty ideals.

Bowkylion & Jeff Satur – “ลามปาม (CIRCUS)”

Bowkylion and Jeff Satur are teaming up to present you a heartfelt Thai ballad with “ลามปาม (CIRCUS).” In this soft rock track, the two artists masterfully capture the push and pull of a fractured love. The song unfolds as a passionate duet offering dual perspectives. Bowkylion voices the viewpoint of a girl haunted by regret, mourning a tender love she left behind. Meanwhile, Jeff Satur responds with defiant words, urging her not to dwell on what’s done. She was the one who walked away first, after all.

This emotional tug-of-war between yearning to rewind time and the desire to break free creates a type of tension that is both individual to the soul and universal to a collective. The dramatic music video amps up the sorrowful intensity with both artists dressed as circus performers, crafting a vivid visual story full of unexpected twists. We won’t spoil the plot, so let the unfolding drama and haunting melodies surprise you as “ลามปาม (CIRCUS)” plays out.
