BIBI – “Apocalypse”
The long-awaited sophomore album of BIBI is here with the sweet-sounding lead single “Apocalypse.” The album, EVE: ROMANCE, contains 14 songs ranging from soft to sultry, and “Apocalypse” starts it all off. The track leans into the temptation of Adam and Eve, and in the music video, BIBI can be found in her own Garden of Eden as well as a universe that only exists if she takes a bite of the fateful apple.
As BIBI sings about the temptation presented, her two characters in the music video deal with the consequences of the temptation others have. BIBI, as Eve, is deeply in love with Adam and wants them to give in to the indulgence that is the apple. Though, through a warp in time, she sees what may happen if she does. Current day BIBI struggles with a cheating partner and a baby she is struggling to take care of. Adding a touch of interactivity, after making it to the end of the video, viewers can choose whether they want BIBI to eat the apple or throw the apple away, altering the future forever.
Rocco – “Door”
In preparation for the June release of his album Skin & Bone, Rocco has released the final single of his three-song promotion. “Door” comes after the release of “If Only With You” and, most recently, “Only Boy,” all three dripping with romance. “Door” was first teased almost a month ago, but lucky audience members have been able to hear it live as Rocco is on tour with singer-songwriter grentperez.
The song encapsulates a hesitance to give in to love and resisting someone you want, even if they want you as well. During the chorus, Rocco sings, “So she said / What are you waiting for / She took my hand and told me / To shut up and close the door / I destroy myself / If I let you inside / Not good for my health.” “Door” takes a slight country twang while also performing as if it could be in a youthful slice of life movie. Now that the three singles have been released, if fans can assume the themes for the upcoming album, it would be love, adolescence, and a bit of cheeky fun.
Laufey – “Tough Luck”

Laufey is letting out all her frustration and pent-up emotions this week with “Tough Luck,” the second single of her upcoming album, A Matter of Time. The song explores built-up feelings from a freshly ended relationship with a guy who was nothing “Like the Movies.” Laufey sings about him cheating on his actress ex (something even the ex doesn’t know about) and explaining to her what it truly means to be a man (an idea she doesn’t care for).
The bridge of “Tough Luck” is the song’s focal point and what has been used for marketing the track on social media. Though “Tough Luck” primarily keeps a calm tempo, once the bridge hits, so does Laufey’s fully throttled emotion about the matter. She vigorously sings, “I should congratulate thee / For so nearly convincing me / I’m not quite as smart as I seem / That I’m a loud-mouthed nobody.” She finishes off the bridge with an exasperated, “The truth is that’s just tough, tough luck.” The single is very Laufey in sound and content, but after seeing the range between “Silver Lining” and “Tough Luck,” A Matter of Time may be an album to show off every aspect of Laufey’s genius.
Jin – “Don’t Say You Love Me”
Jin is telling listeners “Don’t Say You Love Me” in the lead single of his new album Echo. The BTS member has made his comeback six months after the release of his debut solo album, Happy. “Don’t Say You Love Me” is both loving and heartbreaking as it focuses on Jin pleading with a lover to leave him since he cannot muster the courage to leave himself. Though he has so much love for his partner, the relationship is failing, and they both painfully know this.
In the pre-chorus, Jin sings, “Too late to save me, so don’t even start / Oh, you never meant to hurt me, but you’re making it hard.” His ex-partner in this case is played by actress Shin Se-kyung in the music video as they reminisce on memories of what was between them. The music video also gives fans a chance to see Jin in actor mode, a side to him long-time fans have adored since early BTS music videos. “Don’t Say You Love Me” and the other tracks of Echo travel through genres, emotions, and tempos, presenting a sonic journey that will soon be experienced on stages across the globe during Jin’s solo world tour.
Ae! group – “Chameleon”

Ae! group are peeling back their layers to show their true colors this week with their new single, “Chameleon.” The song’s bright vocals complement the racing beat as the quintet delivers the message of being true to who you are. The track and music video are positively whimsical with the five members of the group singing to the funky track and swiftly dancing with an outstanding fervor.
The music video takes place on Chameleon TV as they are being interviewed by the chameleon himself. After being entranced by the view, like, and comment count, he starts to lose who he really is and the feelings he experiences naturally. The members of Ae! group dance around the set and sing about living in the real world without worrying about what people are saying online and approving or disapproving of. “Chameleon” is so jazzy and upbeat, it is sure to enliven everyone’s week.
BAEKHYUN – “Chocolate”

BAEKHYUN is back to serve another dose of his signature R&B magic in his latest single “Chocolate.” The title track from his latest project, Essence of Reverie, “Chocolate” layers BAEKHYUN’s sultry vocals over a sleek R&B groove. Lyrics like “How many flavors are you, love?” and “Come melt down on me,” ooze with charm and maturity. “Chocolate” is nothing short of BAEKHYUN’s signature style of flirtatious lyrics and seductive beats.
Damiano David – “Angel”

Opening a new chapter in his music career, Damiano David, the frontman of Måneskin, has released his solo debut album FUNNY little FEARS. In this album, he shines a light on the darkness and confronts his fears. One of the tracks, “Angel,” offers an intimate confession of finding love that has fallen into his life. Heavenly melodies in the chorus help reveal his heart-spilling revelation: “I’m holding onto my angel / Thank god that I found / Your pretty voice.” with a mixture of pop and indie rock elements, “Angel” has simple instrumentals that make the introspective lyrics stand out. If you’re ready to embrace a new love in your life, make sure to add “Angel” to your playlist!
late night drive home – “american church”

Late night drive home have dropped their third single “american church,” from their upcoming album as I watch myself online. This track metaphorically relates the internet to a modern American church — a place where people show up looking for meaning and connection. They continue to turn to these spaces despite their flaws. The lyrics “are about seeing someone you love spiral — whether because of the internet or another addiction,” Juan Ockz Vargas, the band’s guitarist, said in a press release. It serves as a critique that invites listeners to question and confront the ways we consume media on the internet.
The beat is calm and steady before unraveling into distorted glitch noises towards the end. “American church’s” soundscape perfectly captures the slow fading descent into madness that comes from addiction. Late night drive home’s full-length album is set to release on June 27.
LYKN – “First Sight”

Turn up the heat with Thai quintet LYKN on their latest single “FIRST SIGHT.” Known for their hard-hitting beats and strong instrumentals, “FIRST SIGHT” is the perfect addition to the group’s repertoire. The track is a powerful blend of intense brass and addicting electro-pop synths, coupled with the expressive lyrics. With the instrumental alone, you’d never guess that “FIRST SIGHT” is a song all about falling in love at first sight. The group takes a much more intense approach to the notion, and the expressiveness of the lyrics and beat create a track that makes love at first sight seem way bigger than a passing fling.
The music video is just as heated as the song. It starts out with the members hanging around a car before catching the eye of a woman as she smiles at them. With just one look, the scene changes immediately to a darker setting as the members dance in a barren landscape clad in all black while their love interest watches on. In the end, we’re brought back to the initial scene in front of the car where Tui and the woman take pictures of each other before departing.
PSYCHIC FEVER – “Gelato”

On May 16, Japanese boy-group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE dropped their single “Gelato,” and it’s the perfect smooth jam to cool you down as the weather heats up. “Gelato” is the first single off their upcoming EP, PSYCHIC FILE III and it just made the wait for its release that much more unbearable. The track blends together smooth synths and elements of R&B vocals with an electric-disco instrumental to create a sweet sounding track all about a lover whose kiss is as sweet as an icy gelato. While at surface level, the track seems like your run-of-the-mill love song, with “Gelato” the group actually reveal a love story that’s not all it seems. They describe their lover like gelato, not only because her kiss is sweet, but because her exterior is icy like the treat too.
PSYCHIC FILE III will mark the group’s first release under Warner Music Japan in collaboration with 10K Projects. Many fans might also recognize “Gelato” as the track they first unveiled back in April, during the EXPO 2025 LDH DAY SPECIAL ‘Jr. EXILE LIVE’ event. With this latest release, the group showcases their developing sound and only builds the hype for their EP’s release.
ilham – “make the room look twice”

Moroccan R&B artist ilham returns with her new single “make the room look twice.” The song, and by extension ilham, is dripping in confidence, the kind that makes your presence known in a room before you even speak. Blending her signature R&B with pop and house influences, “make the room look twice” is the perfect hype song for you’re getting ready with friends as we head into Hot Girl Summer. Following her NYFW debut and the success of viral tracks like “roster” and “uhm…okay,” ilham is continuing to build out her own lane as her career progresses.
Other tracks in this week’s Sunday Spin playlist include “Mood” by SAAY, SE SO NEON’s “Twit Winter,” “MANGOES AND RICE” by Labit, and “Give You All” by lightcraft. Listen to everything mentioned and more, curated by Team EnVi only for you on Spotify.
