New York Fashion Week wrapped up on September 13 and just like every year, the event provided plenty of beauty inspiration for the fall season. Achieving effortlessly cool beauty, showgoers flaunted bold frames, eyeliner statements, and vampy lip colors. Want a rundown? Everyone, get your pen and paper ready! Team EnVi captured the hottest makeup and hair trends fresh off the streets of New York.

Shades Of Cool

Taking a page from Copenhagen Fashion Week, show attendees in the City That Never Sleeps skipped the eyeshadow and switched to shades on the streets. While many went for tiny frames, sunnies of all types effortlessly blended in with the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city. The favorites were inky black and brown sunglasses that let outfits do the talking. Makeup statements such as flicks of kajal, ink, and gel eyeliners complemented the looks for the ultimate shade of cool.

Paint The Town Red

With the current tunes on the radio giving everyone red and vampire fever, vampy lip shades seemed to be a no-brainer this Fashion Week. Whether it was a monochromatic moment or a punchy statement lip; fudgy cocoa, rich marsala, and carmine red were the colors favored on the streets of New York. Painting the town red, front-row guests also matched their makeup to their clothes or accessorized with pops of scarlet hues.

Hair Perfection

On the hair front, pin-straight perfection was the main theme on the streets of New York. Channeling the 1990s and 1980s, VIPs and spectators stepped out with smooth bob haircuts and straight-hair styles. Following the retro inspiration, many faces were also framed with a blunt set of bangs, from baby bangs to full fringes. Street style wasn’t any less exciting with showgoers favoring braids, bold accessories, and natural hair colors — many strutted the streets with icy blonde, ginger red, and color-blocked looks.
