K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (also known as TXT) announced the release of an original documentary special film by Disney+. Titled TOMORROW X TOGETHER: OUR LOST SUMMER, the film will unveil exclusive behind-the-scenes footage captured during the group’s first world tour and debut at the Lollapalooza festival in 2022.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER: OUR LOST SUMMER

Consisting of Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai, TOMORROW X TOGETHER are one of the leading names of K-pop’s fourth generation. With musical narratives that focus on the common experiences of youth across the globe, the group is regarded as a voice of Generation Z.  

In 2022, the quintet embarked on their first world tour, TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR <ACT: LOVE SICK>, which visited 14 cities across the world. They also made history as the first K-pop group to perform at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. The group’s documentary will offer a look into this journey. TOMORROW X TOGETHER: OUR LOST SUMMER features key moments of the band’s preparation leading to their world tour, growth on stage, and performances. “It was the first time we’d ever put that much effort into a performance,” TXT tease in the documentary trailer, which portrays the group as they travel and perform for their fans.

Another Summer

Since their debut in 2019, TXT has forged an impressive career with successful music releases such as “Anti-Romantic,” “Blue Hour” and “Good Boy Gone Bad.” They have also accumulated awards and nominations for prestigious awards like the MTV EMAs, the American Music Awards, and People’s Choice Awards. 

In 2023, TXT landed their first No.1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart with The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, which featured fan-favorite songs including “Sugar Rush Ride” and “Happy Fools,” (in collaboration with Coi Leray). As per Billboard, the album scored “the largest sales week for any album since Taylor Swift’s Midnights.” 

This summer, TXT are set to add new milestones to their stacked resume. For one thing, the group announced the release of  “Do It Like That,” a single in collaboration with the Jonas Brothers. For another, TXT will become the first K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza on Saturday, August 5. 

With the announcement of TXT’s upcoming documentary, fans of the band can look forward to a fun-packed summer. Don’t forget to stream TOMORROW X TOGETHER: OUR LOST SUMMER on Disney+ (Hotstar) starting July 28.
