Zendaya Pays Hommage to Hollywood with a Palm Tree Armani Dress 

If there’s one thing we can trust Dune star, Zendaya, and her longtime fashion confidant and stylist, Law Roach, is to deliver a fashion serve. The actress attended the 69th Academy Awards as a presenter and absolutely stole the spotlight with a subtle — and smart — tribute to Hollywood. 

Hollywood Glamour

As one of the most expected arrivals of the night, Zendaya made a grand entrance in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The actress was styled in a metallic Giorgio Armani Privé patterned gown. The asymmetrical look featured a black open corseted bodice with an embroidered palm tree design extending across the floor-length skirt. Intentionally or not, the pattern was reminiscent of the palm tree-lined Windsor Boulevard in Los Angeles, where the iconic Hollywood Sign can be spotted. The nod to the American film industry. was fitting on a night when people reunited to celebrate the power of cinema. 

Further embracing glamour, Zendaya accessorized the look with gemstones from Bulgari, including pink morganite earrings, a statement bracelet and a ring.

Bobs FTW

As this award season has proven, bobs are back in full force. Zendaya is no stranger to the short hairstyle and owned the look with a retro flair. The style icon brought back old Hollywood waves to cement the overall “effortless glam” effect. The Challengers star also made a case for the Millenial side part, proving she can rock even the most divisive looks. 

To keep things simple and chic, Emmy-winning makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, crafted a minimalist look where the key point was a rosy-toned lip and winged eyeliner.
