Fall is fast approaching and while many are making the most out of the last summer days, others are starting to think about the new season. As arbiters of good taste, celebrities have been offering a tip or two on how to match our wardrobe to the change of seasons. With late-summer looks and transitional outfits flooding our Instagram feeds, there’s plenty to look at for inspiration. However, this week, those who embraced simplicity shined the most among the myriad of well-dressed stars.

Stray Kids’ Felix — Louis Vuitton’s newest it boy —  and Thai megastar Bright Vachirawit made a case for classic staples. Meanwhile, Thai actress Tu Tontawan taught us how to upgrade an outfit with simple accessories, and Turkish superstar Hande Erçel rocked the most affordable and summer-appropriate minidress. Jennie’s Take on Vests

The suit vest and wide-leg pants combination has trended throughout 2023, seeing its peak during the thick of summer. However, with a new season upon us, BLACKPINK’s Jennie switched things up, opting for a fall staple instead. Out and about, the “Solo” singer rocked a ton-sur-ton look consisting of a Sandy Liang knit vest, gray trousers, and a pair of the trendy Adidas Samba sneakers. Those who are counting down the days til summer is over can take some tips from Jennie and start crafting their autumn lookbook. The first addition? A vest, of course. 

Tu Tontawan’s Sportive Spin on Plazacore

Thai actress Tu Tontawan had us thinking about Plazacore style when she shared a picture dressed in a knit polo top and a white headband. Upon closer inspection, however, her look had the most sportive twist, courtesy of high-waist biker shorts, a pair of white clogs, and matching ankle socks. The unexpected spin was unconventional, to say the least, but it worked perfectly as it combined preppy and sportive pieces seamlessly. Mixing the best of both worlds, Tontawan proved that you can enjoy summertime comfortably without sacrificing style. We’re taking notes.

AC Bonifacio’s Summer Girl Outfit

AC Bonifacio is known to be one of the best-dressed Pinoy stars in the biz. Living up to this status, the singer nailed the effortless summer girl look in one of her most recent Instagram posts. During a trip to Bali, AC sported the timeless white and denim combination via a tank top and baggy denim shorts. How did she elevate the look? With a thin gold chain, a beaded necklace, and hair flowers. It was a simple, fun, and yet absolutely stylish take on beachwear. 

Hande Erçel’s A-plus Look

As one of Turkey’s style icons, there’s not a time actress Hande Erçel does not dress the part. But beyond the Cannes-worthy gowns or the summer glamour, Hande’s fashionista status is most evident when she turns to simple and understated pieces to serve A-plus looks. This week, the Turkish star embodied summer leisure in a stylish — but affordable — striped mini dress. Besides the price, the best part of Hande’s outfit was that it also channeled early autumn, back-to-school vibes in the best of ways: with a nod to the Harry Potter franchise. Hande did not accessorize the dress, but she snapped pictures holding a “Hogwarts Alumni” mug. In some alternate universe, the Turkish superstar went to Hogwarts and if we go by her color palette of choice, we all know what her house was. 

Felix’s Cool Summer Staple 

Stray Kids’ Felix might be the modern embodiment of Louis Vuitton’s style, but he also knows how to sport basic wardrobe staples. Following his appointment as Vuitton’s House Ambassador, the K-pop rapper updated his socials with candid pictures. In the post, Felix was spotted wearing a simple denim jacket and white T-shirt ensemble. Though Felix topped off the look with a purple beanie and silver jewelry, the allure of denim and white is how effortlessly chic the combination is on its own.    

Stell’s Vintage Style

After wrapping up SB19’s North American tour in Canada, Stell — the group’s vocalist — took to Instagram to share the views from Lake Louise in Banff National Park. For his sightseeing look, the singer went full vintage mode, clad in acid-wash cargo pants and a red jacket reminiscent of the starter jackets popularized in the 1990s. Stell complemented this retro outfit with a hoodie and a cap for the ultimate celebrity off-duty look. And yes, we loved it!

Bright’s Perfect Late Summer Look

Asserting his place as one of the most popular APAC stars, Thai beau Bright Vachirawit never fails to show off his style chops. In one of his latest social media posts, the actor posed for his fans wearing the ideal transitional outfit. The ensemble featured black denim pants, a light gray crewneck sweater, and white trainers. To top off the look, Bright had dibs on Burberry’s newest product: the Burberry Knight Bag, introduced by Daniel Lee on the FW23 runway. While the rest of us might not be ambassadors for one of the biggest fashion brands, we can still recreate the look by opting for muted color palettes, basic wardrobe pieces, and a statement bag.
