K-pop girl group IVE has us up all night gushing over their first English single, “All Night,” featuring Saweetie. The iconic fourth-generation girl group, featuring members Anyujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo, collaborated with Grammy-nominated rapper Saweetie for this upbeat single with their combined charms. Since their debut in 2021, IVE have over 6 billion global streams and 2 billion video views. The group has grown to major success with instant hits, such as “ELEVEN,” “Kitsch,” and “LOVE DIVE.”Fellow it-girl Saweetie is nothing short of iconic, either. Singles “Tap In” and “Best Friend” (2020) reached the Billboard Top Triller U.S and Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, followed by their virality on TikTok. In 2022, she was the only female rap artist nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist. Join EnVi as we break down the star-studded single, “All Night.”

The Girls Show Us What They’ve Got

The multidimensional girl group never misses a beat with a diverse discography of hits, such as the R&B track, “Cherish,” the disco track, “After LIKE,” and pop track, “Baddie.” With so many hits under their belts, it’s easy to forget it has only been two years since the sextet’s debut. After their 2022 MAMA Award for Song of the Year and charting No.1 on all South Korean major music charts, IVE have made themselves stand out against other K-pop sensations, such as NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, XG, and NMIXX, who also debuted in 2022.

Icy Girl

Before she released her debut full-length album, rap-star Saweetie earned herself multiple No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts and her debut single, “Icy Girl,” became three-time platinum certified. In the midst of building her musical empire, the 30-year-old artist landed collaborations with stars, such as Jhene Aiko, Doja Cat, Little Mix, and Gwen Stefani. Her star power is undeniable, leading to partnerships with brands like Prettylittlethings and her acting debut in sitcom grown-ish. The artist is currently crafting her debut album, Pretty Bitch Music, promising fans that it’ll be worth the wait.

It’s the Remix!

Saweetie’s rap verses and IVE’s angelic voices stand out in this 2024 remake of the original 2013 hit by Icona Pop. This infectious dance track features club beats, propulsive synths, steady claps, and chantable melodies. “All Night” quickly culminates in an easily recognized, addictive chorus: “It feels like we could do this all night. Yeah, everything is alright. Fans blowing confetti, endless dance parties, and camera flashes make the music video nothing short of an homage to the ‘90s and 2000s. Throughout the video, IVE and Saweetie take the spotlight, adorned in Y2K-inspired silhouettes: tight mini skirts, baby tees, and fur-trimmed jackets. The ladies confidently strut down the halls of an office building after business hours, demanding the audience’s attention with their rebellious confidence. This retro, dance remake stays loyal to Icona Pop’s single, with a fresh Gen Z take that extends the legacy of the original track, an anthem for party goers and night owls.
