“I found every ordinary moment so precious and valuable in 2020,” TVXQ member Yunho says after performing their 2018 single, “The Chance of Love.” As he and Changmin reflect on this year, it was a given that their fans (Cassies) were truly missed and it was a time for everyone to appreciate the little moments that helped brighten a dull 2020.
Nonetheless, the rising gods made their SMTOWN appearance with an aura of royalty and confidence like no other. While “The Chance of Love” is pretty fun and sexy, the second of their set,”Dream,” showed more of their sweet sides and reminded us of why TVXQ is such a treasure.
With the final group performance of the night, the fantastic duo brought back a fan favorite and iconic stage with “Keep Your Head Down” from their ninth studio album in 2011. For newer K-Pop fans, it’s not hard to fall in love with Yunho and Changmin at first sight, as they were decked out in white and gold outfits, enhancing the “king” statuses that they’ve long achieved. If you are one of those newer fans, welcome to the empire. And to the ones who have been around long enough to see the many evolutions of Changmin and Yunho over the years, welcome home.
