After four years, K-pop boy group ATEEZ — comprised of members HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, SAN, MINGI, WOOYOUNG, and JONGHO — released their second full-length album, THE WORLD EP. FIN : WILL. The highly-anticipated album sold approximately 1.7 million copies in the first week, surpassing their previous album, THE WORLD EP. 2 : OUTLAW, and marking a new personal record for the group. In addition, the title track, “Crazy Form,” received 39 million views in just one week. However, the accomplishments just stack up. On December 11, THE WORLD EP. FIN : WILL officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, the group’s first ever No. 1 debut on the chart.

Billboard Milestones

Rumors of the album charting began almost immediately following its release. ATEEZ has charted on Billboard 200 before, with THE WORLD EP. 1 : MOVEMENT ranking No. 3 and THE WORLD EP. 2 : OUTLAW at No. 2. The group’s natural growth and its fandom’s efforts paid off as THE WORLD EP. FIN : WILL hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The achievements do not end there, as the album debuted with 152,000 equivalent units. One hundred forty-six thousand units were made from traditional sales, during the tracking week ending on December 7. This also allowed the group to hit  No. 1 on Billboard’s top-selling albums for the week.

The Sky’s the Limit

ATEEZ is the seventh group in K-pop history to hit No. 1 on Billboard 200, and the first-ever K-pop group from a small company to do so. From surpassing millions of views on Spotify to several of the album’s b-sides ranking on Genius Korea’s several charts at No. 1, their latest project has enjoyed massive success. Along with THE WORLD EP. FIN : WILL being the group’s highest-selling album and receiving millions of views on the title track’s music video, it marks ATEEZ’s most successful release to date.
