As one of fashion’s it boys, K-pop star Felix Lee had one of the most anticipated Met Gala debuts of recent years. The multihyphenate celebrity certainly did not disappoint. Embracing “The Garden of Time” dress code, Felix brough his A-plus style game to America’s biggest fashion night.

Putting a twist on the monochrome trend, the Australian rapper’s trendy look —custom-made by American brand Tommy Hilfiger — checked all the boxes for a memorable red-carpet appearance.

A Look for the Books

No stranger to fashion fame — he is a renowned face in the international fashion circuit — Felix graced the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a total white look. The superstar sported a single-breasted jacket and matching trousers worn atop a classic white shirt with floral lace details. Attuned to the charity event’s theme, the outfit jam-packed the monochrome and floral trend into one look.

To top off the ensemble, Felix sported black footwear and accessorized with golden jewelry by Louis Vuitton. Beauty-wise, the idol, who has previously made waves with his glam on the runway of Louis Vuitton, styled his hair into a half-up, half-down hairstyle. The final result was a modern look, finely curated to highlight Felix’s stature and physique.

Fashion’s It Boy

Just like previous fashion events, Felix sparked an online frenzy with his Met Gala debut. The singer has risen as a bonafide style icon through a series of fashion activities including a runway appearance at Louis Vuitton’s Fall Winter 2024 show. Partly due to his own sartorial choices and partly thanks to his strong social media presence, the star has become one of the most prominent celebrities in the fashion biz.

In the latest Paris Fashion Week edition, for example, his model debut prompted over $9.1 million in Media Impact Value (MIV®) through media mentions, which represented nearly 25% of Louis Vuitton’s total media coverage at Paris Fashion Week. “The brand caused a media frenzy by inviting its ambassador Felix of Stray Kids to walk the runway,” reported the software and analytics company Launchmetrics.

Now, Felix’s first Met Gala invitation, alongside his Stray Kids teammates, catapults him to new fashion heights.

ICYMI, scoring an invitation to the Costume Institute Gala is a fashion coronation of sorts. One of the few ways to attend the coveted event is by receiving an invitation from a designer or fashion house that had previously bought a table and wishes to display their designs on the guest. And though the Gala is essentially a fundraiser, the guest list goes through the scrutiny and approval of Vogue’s editor in chief and Costume Institute board member, Anna Wintour. Talk about exclusivity!
