A new collaboration is in the works! Malaysian R&B singer Yuna and South Korean producer Shaun are teaming up for an upcoming single. With the two artists hailing from different music scenes, the single is guaranteed to bring out the best of both artists.

What We Know So Far

After releasing hits on their own, Yuna and Shaun are set to collaborate for the first time. In a press release, it was revealed that the two are “excited and eager” to work together. Shaun will be producing the upcoming single and Yuna will contribute to the lyrics and topline.

The single will feature Yuna’s unique signature style — which calls back to the ’90s R&B stars such as Sade, Brandy, and Aaliyah — alongside Shaun’s electronic and indie pop/rock flair. With high expectations, fans of the pair are eagerly waiting for the release.

About Yuna and Shaun

Yuna and Shaun are both established artists in their respective genres. Yuna is best known for “Crush,” a mellow duet featuring Usher. The track reached #3 on the US Billboard Adult R&B Chart in 2016. Yuna enchanted many with her vocal prowess racking up over 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. To date, the singer-songwriter has released four studio albums — Yuna (2012), Nocturnal (2013), Chapters (2016), and Rouge (2019) — and numerous singles since 2011.

On the other hand, Shaun made his big break with “Way Back Home.” Originally a lead single from his debut EP in 2018, the song gained international recognition after featuring Sam Feldt and Conor Maynard in a global version. With over 200 million streams, “Way Back Home” topped charts in South Korea and major Southeast Asian countries. As a versatile DJ, musician, and producer, Shaun has entertained large audiences and produced songs for multiple K-pop acts. These include BoA, Girls’ Generation, 4Minute, SHINee, and many more.
