It’s been a busy year for NCT 127. Taking on different projects and challenges, the nine-piece group has proven its immense popularity. Doing what he does best, in 2021 vocalist Moon Taeil has flaunted his talents through music collaborations. First featured in a song by Moon Sujin and later honoring the legacy of Kim Min-Ki, Taeil has showcased his distinctive voice. Now, the singer added his signature vocals to the title track of Raiden’s first mini-album, Love Right Back.
A Star-Studded Lineup
Over the last week, South Korean DJ and producer, Raiden, has been gearing up toward the release of his first mini-album. Titled, Love Right Back, Raiden’s latest work consists of 5 songs featuring recognized names in the Korean and international music scene. The list of artists includes WayV’s Xiaojun, pH-1, WekiMeki’s Yoojung, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon, and Nino Lucarelli. Meanwhile, the eponymous title track was revealed to be a collaboration between Raiden, NCT’s Taeil, and rapper lIlBOI.

Ahead of the release of “Love Right Back,” SM Entertainment shared teaser images featuring Raiden, Taeil, and lIlBOI. In addition, the company unveiled a preview of the music video, creating even more anticipation about the song.

Love Right Back
Released on October 11, “Love Right Back” is a pop song with R&B influences that talks about the ending of a relationship and the conflicting feelings it provokes. While the lyrics tackle the mixed feelings of loss and relief after a breakup, the upbeat sound paints a picture of optimism and “hopeful emotions.” With the synergy of Taeil’s soft voice and lIlBOI’s rapping, the song explores the theme of walking away from a bad relationship and finding oneself again.

Guinness Record Worthy
The release of the “Love right Back” follows what has been a busy year for Taeil, whose popularity has gone as far as breaking Guinness Records. More recently, the vocalist participated in the long-awaited comeback of his group, NCT 127. In the press conference leading up to the release of the group’s third album, Taeil anticipated, “we’re back better than ever.” He was not mistaken as NCT 127 has seen unprecedented success with Sticker, a record-breaking album that debuted at number three on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. With the announcement of an upcoming repackage album, fans of Taeil and NCT 127 have a lot to look forward to regarding their future activities.
