Thai actress Tu Tontawan is the latest celebrity to turn a global Fashion Week show into her personal red carpet. The Dior ambassador attended the French brand’s Paris Fashion Week show on February 27. For the event, the star put a stylish spin on the runway’s newest trend: dark femininity.

Trends-on-Trends

Tontawan’s all-black ensemble came straight from Dior’s Spring Summer 2024 runway. With contrasting detailing, the look drew inspiration from the racercore (bikercore) and balletcore trends gaining traction in 2023. The combination of opposing aesthetics aligned to match the dark feminine looks taking over Fashion Week runways this season — take as an example brands like Simone Rocha, Dreaming Eli and Yuhan Wang.

On the top half, the 10 Years Ticket star wore a sleeveless vest with silver zipper and button detailing that played on the oversized shoulder fit of racing jackets. To match the item’s imposing aura, Tontawan wore a Toile de Jouy Soleil bracelet in the gold-finish metal and black lacquer style.

Shifting from racercore, the bottom half of Tontawan’s outfit tapped into ballet-inspired fashion. The actress sported a flowing maxi skirt crafted from dainty tulle, adding a touch of delicate femininity. As for footwear, Tontawan opted for a black pair of Dior’s Adiorable Pumps, which epitomized the balletcore aesthetic.

Adding a dash of elegance, Tontawan’s monochromatic look was complemented with jewelry and a black Lady D-Joy Bag adorned with Dior charms.

In Paris With Dior

Ahead of her appearance at Dior’s Fall Winter 2024 show on Tuesday, the Thai TV sensation shared photos of her trip to Paris with Dior. In the pictures, she sports an array of fashionable looks, including a take on girl-next-door style, which she took to the airport. The chic fit included Dior staples such as a White and Blue Cashmere Knit with Signature Sweater, a denim Flared Miniskirt and the Walk’n’Dior Platform Sneaker. Of course, no Dior look is complete without one of the brand’s iconic purses so Tontawan carried the travel-friendly and practical Dior Toujours Bag

Tontawan continued to rep Dior as she promenaded around the City of Lights, clad in casual looks featuring brand classics like knit tops, pleated skirts, mini bags and ballet flats.

Since the start of her ambassadorship in September 2023, the actress has released a series of promotional material. The luxurious glamor Tontawan brings to every shoot proves that she’s the perfect Gen Z representative for a heritage house like Dior.
