On March 6, Dior Beauty released a new campaign for its viral Dior Addict lipstick, featuring global ambassadors Jisoo and Anya Taylor-Joy. One year after both icons starred in the inaugural campaign of Dior Addict’s high-shine formula, the popular stars have returned to highlight the product’s sleek design and bold colors.
Dior Addict is a line of lipsticks, rebooted in 2022, upon the revival of all things Y2K. Not only does it have a nearly all-natural formula but it also comes in a variety of finishes. Its versatility, shade range, and refillable cases make it a staple makeup item, suitable for all beauty lovers. Peter Philips, creative and image director at Dior Beauty, successfully brought the Dior Addict lip product line into the forefront of online relevancy — in part, of course, thanks to the help of the brand’s globally-renowned ambassadors.
The new campaign introduces 10 new shades of the popular lipstick, as well as limited-edition cases with designs inspired by Dior classic elements. Cases options include: “Pink Addict,” a design inspired by Dior’s Saddle Bag; “Brick Cannage,” adorned with the Cannage motif reminiscent of the Lady Dior Bag; and “White Canvas,” a case featuring Dior’s Oblique logo. Additionally, Dior also offers an online-exclusive case, the “Burgundy Oblique,” which remixes the Dior Oblique design with two classic colors: burgundy and beige.
Jisoo x Dior Beauty
Since her appointment as Dior ambassador in March 2021, Jisoo has helped push the House’s popularity through the roof. The K-pop idol has participated in various campaigns, including the 2022 re-release of the Dior Addict lip products. Jisoo, in particular, was at the forefront of a digital campaign through WhatsApp — a first of its kind — that was recognized for its groundbreaking nature. Earlier this year, Jisoo also collaborated with Dior Beauty on a custom shade of the Dior Lip Glow inspired by the colors of K-beauty and the star herself. The shade, Strawberry 031, sold out in several Dior stores and retailers around the world.
Aside from working with Dior Beauty, Jisoo has also modeled for the brand’s ready-to-wear clothing collections and attended multiple Fashion Week presentations. Notably, she starred in the Spring-Summer 2022 campaign, which yielded both video and photo content that proved Jisoo’s modeling abilities.
Anya Taylor-Joy x Dior Beauty
Seven months after Jisoo’s ambassadorship was announced, Anya Taylor-Joy joined the Dior family. In October 2021, Maria Grazia Chiuri described the actress as “the embodiment of the contemporary Dior woman” as she flaunted an emerald green lurex draped dress by Dior Couture for the 78th Golden Globe Awards.
Since she was introduced as a brand ambassador, Anya Taylor-Joy has starred in numerous global campaigns for Dior and showcased the brand’s designs on various red carpets. The actress modeled for Dior’s Fall-Winter 2022 holiday campaign, “The Atelier of Dreams,” starred in the launch of the Mitzah leopard-patterned beauty products in January 2023, and promoted the Dior Forever Skin Correct foundation.
With lauded products and beloved celebrity associations, it is no wonder Dior Beauty emerged as the most talked about beauty brand of 2022. The brand’s latest campaign adds yet another buzzworthy moment to Dior’s record and rises anticipation for more products and collaborations with their global ambassadors.
